TRICHIMONAS VAGINALIS:

It exist only in tropozoite form and causes a sexually transmitted disease known as trichomoniasis characterised by purulent discharge from the vagina.

Laboratory daignosis: demonstration of trophozoites in the wet stain or giemsa stained smear.

It can be effectively treated with metronidazole.
