instestinal ameobiasis
Intestinal ameobiasis mainly known as "ameobic desentry" caused by Entameoba histolytica.
It is primarily confined to mucosa and submucosa of large intestine.It causes frequent dysentry with necrotic mucosa and flask shaped ulcers of colonic mucosa.
There is large number of motions per day which are dark red in colour with very offensive odour and blood and mucus are mixed with the stool.
Microscopically there is presence of clumpes RBC's,pus cells,eosinophills and parasite.
